The Communication Leadership master’s program celebrated its students’ work at the annual, year-end Screen Summit event on June 12. Current and prospective students, alumni, faculty, and community members gathered at Cultivate to recognize the remarkable work accomplished last academic year.
Students shared their projects on a screen of their choice – TV, laptop, tablet, smartphone – while guests mingled, asked questions, and enjoyed drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Below is a playlist of videos featuring projects, such as a website that uncovers stories from the King County Prosecuting Office, a visual and virtual microvolunteering app, a nonprofit to leverage the powers of social media for other nonprofit causes, a video about Rainworks that went viral, and more:
Five awards were also presented during the event. Watch the video to learn the meaning behind each award and the reasons for which each recipient was chosen.
