The Flip is seeking a senior student editor for the remainder of the 2012-2013 academic year, through Summer 2013.
Editors act as Content Strategists, managing the flow of content on the blog, editing posts and curating the website, and as Community Engagement Specialists recruiting contributors, managing social media properties, organizing community events and brand evangelizing.
The editors will be supported by independent study students, volunteers and the faculty adviser, but will hold ultimate responsibility for everything that is published on Flip the Media, so this is a sizable time commitment.
The applicants should be an enrolled MCDM student, and preference will be given to applicants with prior experience working on Flip the Media.
A second position will open starting Spring Quarter. Applicants for that position are welcome to apply now (just specify in your cover letter that you’d like to start in spring).
Editors qualify for a $600 tuition credit for each quarter’s worth of service.
To apply, send a resume and a brief cover letter explaining your interest in the position and vision for Flip the Media, to email@example.com by December 1st. Past applicants are encouraged to re-apply.
