What exactly do you do professionally or what are your professional goals?

I’m currently working as a social media specialist at zulily. I’d love to take my learnings from the Comm Lead program to further my knowledge on branding, specifically how social media impacts brand loyalty.

How are you directly applying knowledge from the MCDM or MCCN program in your daily life?

I can honestly say that I’ve taken notes during every Comm Lead course to work the next day or week. One of my favorite parts about the program is the practicality of the knowledge.

As a full-time or part-time student, how have classes worked into your schedule?

Part-time student

Which classes have had the most impact on you personally and professionally? Anita’s course has done the most for my personal and professional growth, while Hanson’s gave me more hands on experience. I loved the fact that we were able to work with a real client and were forced to think of creative and useful solutions. There was no hand holding or micromanaging of our projects. Very hands on.

What’s your favorite Comm Lead experience?

The First Friday events have been extremely helpful with networking and making friends in a new community. Oh, and they are super fun

Career-wise, what is your ultimate digital media goal?

My ultimate goal is to foster brand loyalty through digital media initiatives.

What digital trends are you most intrigued by right now?

The rise of messaging apps and how they impact social media

What’s the strangest food you’ve eaten and under what circumstances?

I had ox tail while volunteering in Jamaica. It was pretty tasty.
