UW Four Peaks: “Chase Jarvis”

Host Hanson Hosein interviews award-winning photographer and entrepreneur Chase Jarvis. As co-founder and CEO of CreativeLive, an online education platform that offers classes taught by some of the world’s leading experts, Jarvis seeks to disrupt the traditional education model. Their conversation focuses on the role of higher education in the 21st century as well as Jarvis’ declaration that “creativity is the new literacy.”

This episode’s “Communication Leadership in Action” segment spotlights the innovative “Native Tacoma” mobile tour guide app, created by UW graduate student Joe Hunich. Anita Verna Crofts, an Associate Director in UW’s Communication Leadership graduate program, weighs in on the inspiration behind the project.
