UW Four Peaks: “Mark Gonzales”

Four Peaks is a current affairs show, produced by the Communication Leadership graduate program  and UWTV, that taps into the Pacific Northwest’s rich endowment of idea generators, influential activists, business visionaries and inspired storytellers. Read about the show’s reboot here

Is Mark Gonzales a poet, a prophet, a professor? Host Hanson Hosein interviews the author, innovator and New Medina co-founder during a lunchtime chat at the UW Club. Gonzales sees stories as the engine of identity and uses narrative as therapy to overcome trauma. The two embark on a conversation about technology’s impact on humanity and what it really means to be human.

This episode’s “Communication Leadership in Action” segment spotlights Cohort 15’s Cara D’Amato and her empathy-driven, “Speak Green” approach to addressing cyberbullying.
