NW News Network correspondent (and Comm Lead student) Austin Jenkins wanted a better way to communicate just how close lobbyists and legislators are in Olympia. While reviewing public records, Jenkins found that nearly one-third of the houses just south of the Capitol were owned or used by lobbyists, corporations or unions.
So in our Comm Lead core class he created a 3D display that literally maps these connections. And now he’s spun the project off into a major report published in The Seattle Times!
